Can HighLevel alert you to workflow drafts in every sub-account?

By SHAJ Studio. Checked against HighLevel's help center and changelog, and the menu path and labels checked in a HighLevel sub-account, on 22 October 2026.

The short answer

The Automation Overview page in HighLevel (also called GoHighLevel or GHL) shows counts of workflows and a summary of workflow errors. HighLevel's help article for it does not describe an alert for a workflow left in Draft, and a draft workflow does not run. HighLevel does email agency admins when a workflow is paused by an error or a loop lock. To hear about drafts in every sub-account without opening each one, you need a check that runs on its own. Watchtower runs one every day and emails what changed.

What Automation Overview shows

We checked the menu path and these labels in a HighLevel sub-account on 22 October 2026. In the left menu, Automation has the tabs Workflows, Overview and Global Workflow Settings. Overview sits inside each sub-account and lists no drafts by name. HighLevel's Automations Overview article (last modified 12 October 2026) does not say whether the page sends an alert or an email.

What HighLevel does email you about

HighLevel's changelog says that when a workflow is paused because of an error or a loop lock, agency admins get an email and all admins see an in-app banner. That covers a workflow that stops for those two reasons.

Where a draft falls through

HighLevel's workflow builder walkthrough says a workflow in Draft mode does not trigger or take actions. A draft is not paused by an error, so the email above is not about it. We found no HighLevel help article that describes an alert for a workflow left in Draft. A workflow can arrive in Draft after a snapshot push and stay there. The first sign can be a client asking why nothing happened.

Check it by hand

  1. Open a sub-account, then Automation, then Workflows.
  2. Look at the status of each workflow. Anything in Draft that should be running needs a decision: publish it or leave it on purpose.
  3. Open the Overview tab and compare the Published workflows card with the Total workflows card.
  4. Repeat for every sub-account. Do it again after each snapshot push.

By hand this is fine for a handful of sub-accounts. Past about ten, it is easy to skip.

Check every sub-account every day

Watchtower checks every sub-account in your agency each day and shows what changed on one dashboard, with a morning email. For workflows it flags sub-accounts with no published workflow or mostly drafts, and workflows from your standard that are missing or left in Draft. Each finding links to the sub-account. It is read-only: it never changes anything in a client account. See the sample digest for an invented agency, or read how Watchtower works.
